Te Tomika Trust is proud to announce the official opening and blessing of our new training facility, Toi te Wānanga. This milestone marks an exciting step forward in our commitment to supporting the ongoing development of our kaimahi, tāngata whaiora, and the wider community.
Toi te Wānanga has been created as a dedicated space for learning, sharing knowledge, and strengthening the skills of the community. Through this facility, Te Tomika Trust will deliver a range of workshops and training opportunities designed to enhance both professional practice and personal growth.
Workshops offered through Toi te Wānanga will include topics such as sustainable living, healthy choices, whakapapa, Māori carving, de-escalation techniques, Level 4 Health and Wellbeing, motivation interview, Code of Rights, Mental Health Act and many more. Each workshop has been designed to empower the community and provide our kaimahi with the knowledge and tools needed to provide the highest level of care to our tāngata whaiora while fostering cultural understanding and holistic wellbeing.
Te Tomika Trust will like to acknowledge TECT for their generous funding and support, which has ensured Toi te Wānanga is properly equipped and ready to serve our community. We also extend our sincere thanks to PowerCo for providing IT equipment for our management team and residential services, helping us build a strong foundation for connection, collaboration, and growth.
The opening and blessing of Toi te Wānanga is a celebration of partnership, progress, and purpose. It represents our collective effort to nurture learning, uphold mana, and strengthen the wellbeing of our people today and into the future.
